Sig Guy P365 Sear Spring Slave Pin

Although there are 11 pins and 1 FCU in the pic you are purchasing ONE pin for $9.99

This tool is for those that have a stubborn sear spring that is difficult to "reset" in order to be able to install your safety lever pivot pin. By using this specially made slave pin resetting that stubborn sear spring is a breeze!

STEP 1:

Visually locate the sear spring by looking through the pivot pin hole.

STEP 2:

Insert Sear Spring Slave Pin through pivot pin hole and UNDER the sear spring. Use the pointed end of the slave pin to pry up on the sear spring while inserting slave pin through the hole. It is VERY important that the sear spring is positioned ABOVE the slave pin.

STEP 3:

When the slave pin is installed test to make sure it is installed correctly. If spring tension and rebound can be felt while pressing down and then letting off of the sear spring the slave pin and sear spring are in the correct location. If the sear can not be pressed down and there is no spring tension felt the sear spring is not located above the slave pin. Remove slave pin and reinstall correctly.

STEP 4:

Push slave pin in until it is slightly countersunk. If you push it in too far and the sear spring is visible through pivot pin hole remove slave pin and reinstall (see image in gallery). Countersinking the slave pin will make installation of the pivot pin easier.

STEP 5:

Use safety lever pivot pin to push out slave pin. This should be a smooth consistent fast motion. Going too slow or not going in far enough fast enough will allow the sear spring to fall off of the slave pin. If this is what happens you will have to start all over.

STEP 6:

Once the pivot pin is installed far enough to hold up the sear spring the slave pin can be completely removed. Sometimes it either falls out by itself or you can pull it out the other side. Use caution as the slave pin is pointed on one end.

That's it! Easy peasy!! By using this tool you never need to stress about those stubborn sear springs that do not easily reset using the traditional punch. Have confidence and completely disassemble your P365 FCU for cleaning, maintenance or to replace those worn out parts.
